In a bizarre crossover event that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "A strange encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden cult.
The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
